Twenty-Five Ways to Write for Money

I’m pretty good at resisting a sales pitch. I’m even better at resisting that rah-rah sales copy that runs about three scrolled pages long, telling me of so-and-so’s rags to riches success, showing off pictures of people with new cars, and claiming how my life will be changed if I just click to BUY NOW!

*Yawn* Get real.

I can’t resist temptation, though. I received an email yesterday from a website that delivers quality information and interesting reading to my inbox once a week. In other words, I trust the source and the recommendation to purchase a certain ebook struck my interest.

The ebook in question is “25 Ways to Write for Money” by David Goldsmith. I can probably come up with 25 ways all on my own and even have an ebook already in the works on writing for money. I know what I’m doing, and I have experience.

The lure was too strong, though. Like I always say to Harry (when manipulating him into agreeing to a purchase whose sole purpose is oriented to satisfy my curiosity), what if we discover something we missed? What if there’s a market we’re not exploring? How will we know if we’re still great at what we do if we don’t compare to what others are doing? Worst-case scenario, the money will be a waste but we’ll both enjoy the feeling of knowing we can produce a way better ebook.

Harry sees me coming a mile away. He knows I like new things and need them to stay busy. Idle hands are the devil’s playthings, after all. He’s familiar with my tactics and strategies to get what I want (don’t think I don’t know, bro). Plus, he gets curious too, so he gave in.

Well, the ebook was a good one. We didn’t waste our money. We did already know the 25 ways to write for money and we use about 15 of them regularly. We found a couple of bits of useful info, nothing life changing but good leads nonetheless. The graphics were nice, the layout was easy to read, and the text was well written, succinct and concise. I was impressed.

For someone just stepping into the writing world, “25 Ways to Write for Money” is a good ebook to get. It gives a look at the different areas of freelance writing, types of writing and potential markets to tap into for income.

It has the same old affiliate links inside and promotes other books. That’s nothing new in the ebook industry. But what I noticed was that not all of the links were affiliate programs that give the author a cut of profits. I appreciate that the ebook’s intention isn’t just to get people to click through to buy something else.

25 Ways to Write for Money” doesn’t give false promises of wealth and riches or instant success, which is nice. That’s a real breath of fresh air. It doesn’t go nuts about telling readers they can make millions writing and boast miracle results. It’s clear that the ebook is to provide information and it’s up to the writer to do the legwork. I like that. That’s realistic.

All in all, I recommend “25 Ways to Write for Money” for new writers. It’s worth the buy. Experienced writers won’t learn much that they don’t know already, but there is a money-back guarantee if anyone really isn’t happy with the ebook. That’s nice, too.

This is a really decent book that I would receommend. It offers common sense advice without the bogus promises of so many products. I have a friend who is a writer and have suggested he get this book, good recommendation

  2. You know, I’ve never been that confident in my writing skills – especially when it comes to making money. But it does seem like a very doable venture. I will have a look at the ebook – since I am green, maybe it will be a good start.
