I know I fall into this category which seems so crazy since I haven’t even gotten to that one hit wonder of mine. I’m making progress — thank you NaNoWriMo 2009 — but it is a thought the pops up like a whack a mole now and again.

I hear what you’re saying, I completely agree with it and it’s something I would say (and have said) to some of my blogging buddies with sincerity. The strangest part is that to follow this advice I have to view myself as if I am one of my blogging buddies. Somehow it’s easier for me to have faith in myself if I view myself as another writer who I want to motivate.

I have no idea if this makes sense or if it sounds like my meds need to be adjusted. Regardless, this post was really interesting.

You’re welcome, Laura. And so what if it takes ten years? What’s the rush anyway? The thing is to start it and make the effort to do a little bit at a time – whether it’s once a day or once a week. If you let it, life will always get in the way. That’s not to say certain things aren’t important, but that’s what life is, that’s what it does and writing your novel or anything else for that matter is a part of that life. Your writing could very easily take over everything else, too. It’s up to each individual to find that balance and make it work, no matter what the goal is.

I would love to right a work of fiction. Between children (that includes hubby) and life; I am afraid it would take me ten plus years. I know, I don’t know until I try, right? LOL
