Rich Morgan is coming out of left field with Consulting Fair, and he might have a good thing going. He’s certainly got the determination, the drive, and the good intentions for freelancers.
A freelance computer programmer, Rich Morgan was a provider at the local job auction giant Elance. Upset about the unfair treatment, the dictatorship and the lack of empathy the big dogs showed for providers in the month of November, Rich decided to do something about it.
He’s putting his coding skills to the test to build Consulting Fair, a new job auction site where quality counts, integrity matters and respect for providers reigns high. Rich wants a place where people feel good about working, a place that pairs buyers and providers where both know they’re getting the best.
He’s already started by the great name he chose for his website. He prefers “consultant” over “provider”, and he believes in fair play for all.
I think that Rich is going to be dealing with is more business than he knows how to handle. He’d better be prepared, considering he’s decided to pull a David and fight Goliath.
Consulting Fair has plans to go live December 12. Right now, providers can pre-register at the site. The site has a discussion forum built already, and he’s taking suggestions from freelancers on improvements he could make. He wants the site a good one.
Rich mentioned to me that his background in the military taught him the values of loyalty, duty, respect, selflessness, service, honor, integrity and personal courage. He wants to apply all those values to Consulting Fair. Mostly, he wants to apply his confidence that hard work, the right attitude and treating people with respect to the success of his venture.
I’m keeping an eye on Rich to see where Consulting Fair takes him and what opportunities it provides to freelancers.

This is definitely something to watch. Thanks for letting us know about it.
There is already good commentary and feedback going on at Rich’s message boards.
Anyone who wants to have their two cents into a freelance website, now’s your chance!
Thanks for the kind words! I sure hope we can make a difference and provide a great environment for freelancers to work.
