Uhh.. er… I mean…

Well, anyway, thanks guys! I haven’t blogged in a while due to a combination of school, outright laziness, other life stuff, et cetera. I suppose it’ll be good to start off by implementing some of your tips. Right after I figure out how to modify Wordpress designs beyond just switching the font and header o_O.

@ Summer – I think you’ve misunderstood the blog. It’s created to humorize educating people about content. It isn’t designed to literally drive people away.

You’ll note that most of our recommendations are about being easier to read, too, not prettier. It’s about functionality, not design.

Um, aren’t you missing the point here. The blog is about blogging badly. It’s ironic.
Yeah, I know that SEO and money talks, but if you are making a blog called ‘blogging badly’, which the author notes is supposed to be humorous, why would the author want to have a perfectly optimised blog, ‘well-designed’ blog?

Sometimes people just run out of ideas, and that’s especially true when their blog is tightly focused. I don’t think this one is too narrow, but it’s more focused than I am, so I can see him just having nothing to say for a bit. And especially nothing funny.. funny and focused make for a very tight niche.

Sometimes people realize they just aren’t getting the financial results to make it worth it. Advertising doesn’t net your average blogger enough to by coffee and a donut daily, and even consulting for blogging (doesn’t look like he’s doing that) has to be a tough row to hoe because there’s so much free advice on line.

Or he may just have better things to do. I’m going to be taking a month long vacation soon, and am not sure how much blogging I’ll do during it. I may build up an inventory of posts before I go, but maybe not.. I may just let it go stagnant for a month. This kid is fourteen – he may have discovered girls (or boys, if that’s his thing).
