Keyword articles are hot. Keyword content can attract readers and increase search engine ranking. There is a right way and a wrong way to create good keyword articles. The wrong way? Stuff your article with keywords until it doesn’t read well and looks sub-standard.
Before you sit down to write keyword articles, think about how the text will be received by a reader. Personally, I’d much rather click on a link that brings me to a website with relevant content high in information. I want to be informed. I want to learn. I want to be entertained. I want to go to sleep less stupid at night.
Keyword-stuffed content may bring traffic to a website, but it doesn’t teach, inform, or amuse anyone. If you’re looking for high traffic, you want people to come to your site for various reasons – to sell something, to promote something, or to learn about something. Thanksgiving turkey articles stuffed with keywords do the opposite. They encourage people to click away from your site and move on to a better one.
To writers: Have some integrity about the material you produce. Keyword articles stuffed to the gills show that you don’t give a damn about the reader. You only care about making money. Is that the type of person you want to be?
Instead of focusing on overdone keyword articles, focus on high interest content for people that will read your work. The subject matter and content should be interesting or informative, and the reader shouldn’t even notice that there are keywords within the text.
Those keywords may have helped bring the reader to your site, but it’s the quality of content that will hold the person there.
