Miracle Ebooks

A friend of mine asked me to look over the Dabbling Mum’s website for the quality of content and advice. I did. Two very good questions and answers on the site disclaimers got my attention and I’d like to share them.

Question:

“What if I’ve followed everything in the e-book [I bought], but my life isn’t any better?

Answer:

“Our e-books are for informational purposes only. They aren’t miracle workers.

Our e-books are not meant to be a replacement for professional help. Depending on your circumstance, you may need to seek [the services of] a professional lawyer, doctor, tax consultant, therapist, psychologist, coach, mentor, etc.”*

Well said. So many people think that $15 and reading a book will magically change their life. Be realistic. Self-help advice can be a good thing, but as the answer states, ebooks aren’t miracle-workers. If you’re looking for a cure or truly need help, seek professional advice. Don’t buy an ebook.

Question:

“What if I’ve followed everything [instructed] in the book, and I still can’t reap the financial rewards mentioned in the book?

Answer:

“While our authors do their best to show you what the average earner can make with a little hard work and effort based on the businesses each e-book was written upon, we CANNOT GUARANTEE that you will earn the same amount of money.

All EARNINGS are only ESTIMATES based on what the average person in said business has made in the past or currently makes in the present.

Where individuals have stated their earnings, we have accepted their quotes in good faith. We CANNOT guarantee that you will make as much [money] as these individuals.

As with any business, there is risk in starting, running, and operating any and all businesses. We don’t know your skills, background, or other criteria that makes you who you are. Any number of factors could cause you to not succeed or cause you to far exceed what others have reported.”*

Bingo. There is no guarantee of success from reading ebooks screaming claims and promises for six-figure incomes.

Success comes from hard work and effort. Carefully consider your investment before purchasing ebooks that claim to hold the secrets of wealth and deliver false promises of success. If you’re curious about the content, slap down the money and buy the book. Don’t be upset when you realize you’ve wasted your money.

If you believe an book will miraculously change your situation and give you instant freedom or piles of dollar bills, save your money.

Nothing but a lottery can promise instant riches, and even then, chances for being the big winner aren’t on your side. You can’t earn the dime if you don’t put in the time.

  1. Thanks for requesting permission to post the Q&As and for the positive feedback.

E-books, just like traditional print books, should be written based on solid research, should be edited, and should NEVER claim to turn someone into a millionaire over night.

The idea behind our e-books are to offer solid advice based on hands-on experience, solid facts, and research. But like we said on our website, we only provide the “how to” it’s up to the reader to supply the elbow grease to make their business or the idea behind the e-book a success.

Great site by the way! I love the information I’ve read so far this morning, especially the part about Private Label Articles.

Go ahead - speak your mind!
