The DFW Writing Course Now Open to New Students!

Writing content is crucial to today’s online world.

You know this, because all the pros tell you to write compelling website copy to increase your client base and sales. They tell you to write engaging blog posts that generate comments and build credibility. They tell you to write ebooks and newsletters and sales pages and articles and all sorts of content that brings you new customers.

They tell you to write, write, write.

But no one tells you how… until now.

If you’ve been a regular reader here at Men with Pens, you know about Damn Fine Words, the innovative online writing course I created for business owners, entrepreneurs, freelancers, start-up owners, and yes, even writers for hire.

It’s a cross between writing course and business course, and you’ll learn skills that let you create better, more effective content… the kind of content that brings you business results.

Registration for the September 2012 session is now open.

The Damn Fine Words writing course spans 10 weeks that cover 6 writing modules and 20 individual lessons of specific writing techniques in a logical, progressive order. Click here for a description of each lesson in the course.

You’ll work directly with me as you learn, and you can access the course any time of day or night, from anywhere in the world. Each lesson includes:

  1. A clear introduction to each writing technique and WHY it’s important to you
  2. Step-by-step, how-to instructions you can understand and follow easily
  3. A relevant writing assignment to give you valuable hands-on practice
  4. Fun writing activities that let you get immediate feedback from peers – and from me
  5. Extra exercises to help you master your new writing skills quickly

I’m a big believer in teaching practical knowledge you can use forever and transfer to all areas of your business, for the rest of your life.

You’ll receive two lessons per week, each specifically designed to help you improve your writing skills AND your business results. Not after the course – after each lesson.

You’ll learn:

  • How to generate blog posts that get results faster and easier than before
  • How to write compelling website copy that draws in new customers
  • How to draft, edit and create content quickly – no stress, and no staring at blank pages
  • How to craft an effective message that engages your target audience properly
  • How to build confidence in your skills so that writing becomes a pleasure. Really.

That’s just the beginning. In fact, Damn Fine Words could completely change your business.

It could even change your life.

And I’m with you every step of the way.

You’ll have full access to the special members-only area, where you’ll get direct, personal feedback from me. I’ll be right there with you for the entire duration of the course to answer your questions, offer suggestions for improvements, share extra tips and advice, and support your learning.

You can click here to learn more, but here’s what you need to know:

I don’t want a million students – I want the right students.

I want to work with engaged students who are ready to do their best. So if you understand the true value of improving your writing skills, and you’re ready to come to class excited and eager to learn how to write better, more effective content that gets results…

Damn Fine Words is for you.

  1. Hi James!

I just wanted to let you know that I’m signing up for this next year. I wish I could sign up for it now, but I’ve been somewhat of an impulsive blogger product buyer lately, and what with Jon Morrow’s guest blogging course, and the retreat with the Natalies in November, I can only spend so much money un my husband threatens me with divorce.

Thanks for offering this course. It’s interesting how so many products focus on getting traffic to your blog, or what to write, and never how to write.

    Liz
