Save Your Money
There are hundreds of websites ready to sell you the latest secrets to success or best tips to make money. They’ll sell you their book, sign up for their e-course, or get you to pay money for their product. Everyone’s promising to help you get rich.
Save your money and your time. These get-rich-quick schemes are as old as the earth itself. The only thing that’s changed is making money off people (namely, you) has hit the virtual world in a big way.
Those who try to suck you in can often look pretty respectable too. Nice, clean websites gently suggest an e-book for $9.95. Some successful writers nudge you towards their favorite tips. After all, if they’re making money, they can help you make money too, right?
Think about it. Why would someone want to teach you their secrets to being successful – so they can have you as competition? Because they’re just nice? Because they’re good people that want to share the secret to being rich with the world? Smart business move? Nuh-uh.
These people want your money and that’s how they became successful, selling you stuff that is empty and doesn’t help. Fluff, filler, crappy advice, common sense knowledge… You can pay for it, sure. Why would you want to?
There isn’t going to be an e-book out there that will tell you fantastic secrets to hitting it rich in the freelance industry (or many other industries). You can find the same information on other websites free of charge. Save your money. Use your search engine.
Better yet, take the same money you were about to spend on an ebook of the greatest tips and best hints to success, and use it somewhere else. Upgrade your computer. Pay a membership fee to a good auction site. Buy some better software. Take a course in grammar or sentence structure. Go out and purchase a real book that you can open and skim to make sure you aren’t getting screwed before paying.
For those money-hungry individuals out there who think they have something people should pay hard-earned money for, send your ebook or guide to me. I’ll read it, and if I think it’s worth it, I’ll be more than pleased to promote your quality product. I’ll be happy to tell people that it’s worth their investment to buy what you’re selling.
