Good job. Now then, since our families and friends have been so patient with us throughout the year, we feel they deserve our attention during the holiday season.

We’ll be taking a short break from our regular posting schedule during this period, and we’ll resume our regular posting schedule on January 5, 2008. We know we’re supposed to write all about all our plans for the upcoming year, but really, we think that’s just tempting fate to come and screw each one up.

While we’re here, we’d like to thank those of you who have supported us this year, from readers to clients to

colleagues. Best wishes to all of you for the coming New Year, and may it be a bright, happy, prosperous one for each of you.

James and Harry

  4. @ Allison – YES! How cool is that, eh! See? See? That was on the “We asked the Pen Men if they could” list too – and we came through!

    @ JD – She carries bigger guns, too.

    @ Rhodester – Sure. Goes well with backbacon. Want some?

    Thanks, James and Harry for providing a well-written, thought-provoking blog this past year and for helping me get my own up and running.

    Your short break is a great reminder to us all that our families and friends deserve our attention during the holiday season.

  9. As if I didn’t tell you often enough… you guys are AWESOME! :D

  10. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Season’s Greetings to James and Harry and their families!

  11. Graham Strong () says:

    lol – Funny how some Christmas songs are timeless… Except perhaps the bit about the seven packs of smokes. That might be updated in the remake.

    Merry Christmas, Pen Men. And may all your beer be Molson Canadian (it’s Bob and Doug approved…)

    (Actually, come to think of it, that might be what got me started on Canadian… I always wondered that.)

    Cheers!

    ~Graham

  12. Hey all, thanks for the warm wishes :)

    @Conor: I’m looking forward to our posts too, can’t wait to see what we end up doing next!

    @Kelly: Love to you too, and enjoy your holiday!

    @Allison: You can say it again, it won’t go to waste ;)

    @Michelle: Thanks!

    @Graham: Nah, don’t change it. We’ve got enough PC stuff in the world and it’s classics like this that make me smile and think of a time when you could say something funny and not have to worry about a lawsuit in the process. *pops open another Molson* Cheers!

  13. @ Conor – Woot! That was a cool thing to hear – a Christmas present that cost nothing!

    @ Kelly – Yeah, a friend of mine made me realize that people are more important than work. I always knew it, but work fogged my brain and I needed a wake-up call. May this holiday season bring you peace too.

    @ Mark – Well, you know. I think people should know where our priorities are, hm?

    @ Allison – Ha, you too! (Besides, gingersnaps… mmmm!)

    @ Michelle – Aw, thank you. The same to you and your family as well.

    @ Graham – Having not quite yet kicked the habit, let me just say…

    Can I have Graham’s smokes if he doesn’t want them?

  14. @Harry – Alrighty then, once again, you’re awesome! :D

    @James – It’s okay, I know you only love me for my cookies. (I kid, I kid! ;) )

  17. Mark W. says:

    @James – heading on over to my brother’s house for the family get together. I was put in charge of getting the beer – very important task! So, yes, we do know our priorities!
