Freelance writer, beware of the words, “Your website has no Google ranking!”
Having a website that ranks is good, sure. But if you let yourself get caught up in the craze for driving traffic to your site and rank boosting, you may never have time to set pen to paper (or fingertip to keyboard) again.
The amount of information on search engine optimization and boosting page ranking is incredible. For someone who has to work to earn income, learning what to do and trying to find the best authority on SEO can eat up time like a starving dog eats his food.
Regardless of which tricks you use and what manipulations or coding you do for your website, you’re going to have to market yourself. Instead of spending time trying to figure out how to boost ranking and drive traffic, get a nice website going with meta-tags and keywords in the content, and then stop.
I mean it; stop.
Stop worrying about boosting ranking or being known. You’ll waste more time frigging with your site than you will marketing yourself to land contracts and jobs.

Hey Guys,
Speaking of SEO. I recently made a post on our web design blog regarding DMOZ (ODP). I think you will find it quite interesting. Please leave a comment. I am highly interested in your comments/thoughts.
Cheers!
