Your Chance to Learn How to Make Money Online

There are so many writers out there who need money. They really do. They’re getting by – barely. We know. We’ve been there.

The end of the month is a scary time, because bills have been coming in steadily and it’s a question of paying for the groceries or paying for the rent. Determined writers shoulder it all, though, and somehow they get by. They keep trying.

They hear there are opportunities online, and maybe they’ve tried to make those opportunities happen. They slap up a website, they scour Craigslist, they listen to the big-name bloggers telling them what to do, and they really make an effort to make it as a writer.

$5 articles aren’t going to help make ends meet. The ad squares don’t bring in money. Those $50 articles people brag about? The success? It seems like that kind of success is only for the special people.

Maybe those writers have a website with a few ad squares on the side, an attempt at some affiliate marketing. Maybe they have Adsense too, and they’ve managed to scrape together a whopping $3.49 in four months. Payout is at $100, so in two years or so, they’ll be able to see that Adsense pay off.

It’s just not working.

They read the websites. They listen to the pros tell them what to do. It’s still not working. The $5 articles may turn to $10, but writing for a living still seems like some kind of dream reserved only for the extremely lucky.

“Please help me…” We get emails like this all the time. It breaks our heart, and we wish we could help more than we do. We try. We write posts that try to show writers better ways of doing business online. We do what we can to give advice and that extra boost towards success.

“Did you know that when I started online, I wrote articles for $5?” Naomi surprised me with that question not long ago. I didn’t know that. I laughed and I said, “Did you know that I started at $2?”

Naomi and I both began our careers at the bottom – just like many, many writers out there. Today, each of our businesses bring in over $200,000 in revenue every year, and both businesses are still growing.

Naomi gets a lot of email from people, people who are really desperate for help. She decided to do something about it, and she’s nearly burned herself out in the process of creating one of the biggest courses that teach people exactly what to do to make money.

Not one way – six ways. Six different ways to earn income online. Fast ways. Easy ways. Ways that you can understand, written in language that you can understand too.

She’s had it with people feeling lost, unsure, scared, desperate and needing help. She’s spend months working hard putting together Online Business School to teach people just like you – six different ways to use the Internet to make money online.

I believe in this product. I think it’s going to be big, very big, and I believe it’s going to help people change their lives and turn this crazy make-money-online dream around on its head.

Online Business School goes on sale today at 12pm PST or 3pm EST.

You need to be there, and this is why:

The first 2,000 copies of Online Business School are being sold at a reduced discounted price of 50% off. You’re going to save $200. That’s a lot of money that you get to keep in your pocket just because you were paying attention.

After 2,000 copies are sold – and trust me, that won’t take long – the price goes up.

Even so. There’s a money-back guarantee if you hate the course and think it’s garbage (it’s not). If you don’t want to buy it, go and get the free stuff that you can benefit from.

And if you do buy, apply the information and get one new client – just one new customer – this course will pay for itself.

You can’t lose. And that’s why I’m recommending it. Go. Get Online Business School today.

Nice post – feels like you’ve been reading my personal emails. That said, those who are really struggling can’t always dish $200. It’s a catch-22, I’m afraid. Those of us in the very worst situations (yes, us, because I’m there) can’t do it. And when the day comes that we can, we won’t actually need to, will we?

I did however listen to Naomi’s guilt-provided free module last night, and it was great.

So, for those of you who aren’t in the worst place, like maybe you have a spouse bringing in an income and you are just starting out on this adventure – go for it. I have a feeling it will be very useful.

    Wendy

  2. I don’t want to speak ill of Naomi. Naomi is smart, fun, wonderful. I love her salty prose and I am so happy that she found success.

    However..

I don’t like some of the advice that she is promoting. Most recently, I object to her suggestions to create “Made for Adsense” sites. She doesn’t call them that, but that’s what they are: she does say something like “These sites aren’t meant to attract followers, they are for search engines”.

We have enough crud on the Internet without encouraging people to make more.

Of course, “Made for Adsense” doesn’t have to mean junk. But if it’s not designed to attract followers, what else can it be?

I guarantee that I know more about writing for Adsense than most of you could imagine. But I refuse to add to the garbage pile and I would hope that most readers here would agree. If you are out to make money on the web, try to do so with quality. Actually I think Naomi even has said that herself in other places at other times, but I think she went astray here.

    Go for quality. ‘Nuff said.

  3. @ Wendy – The problem is that reality kicks in: You have to spend a dollar to make a dollar. If spending that dollar makes you more dollars faster than if you waited until you had the dollar to spend… well, it’s a choice, isn’t it? Personally, I have been in that situation and I’ve taken the hit because I know I’ll get it back. But that’s me.

I understand, though, that there are people who don’t have the money or don’t want to spend the money. That’s why I don’t feel bad promoting this, because there are free videos and help that do give good information and tips that people can put to use. And I’m all for free.

@ Anthony – So because you disagree with one portion of what Naomi says, all her information is therefore refutable. I can’t agree with that, I’m afraid.

I also know that just the module on creating income through copy and design services is worth the money. If that were the only module for sale, I’d still be standing here encouraging it, because honestly, that’s the only one I care about.

  4. Oh, and Wendy: I thought the point of Naomi’s post was to show you that you don’t NEED to buy her course. She pointed out that you can find everything that she’s teaching for free on the web and even gave you some starter pointers.

It may not be as organized, and it’s not going to have her wit and humour, but it’s all out there. That’s why she made that post: she knows not all of you can afford this. She’s been there, she knows.

  5. James, I did NOT say that her information is refutable.

Quite the contrary: if you have no morals, you absolutely can make money with MFA sites. Her advice is dead accurate.

I’m sure Naomi did a great job on this. I bet her style makes the course worth every penny even if you don’t like some of the suggestions because of scruples.

I am in NO way suggesting that people shouldn’t buy it if they want to. I just detest promoting MFA sites. Do you deny that she has done that?

And remember: I’m pretty sure that she has been an advocate of quality elsewhere. Maybe she intends to come back to this later on and beg people NOT to create more junk. I don’t know.. I hope she does.

  6. By the way, I made a similar comment over at Martine’s site. He removed it. Apparently he doesn’t believe in honest difference of opinions on the morality of promoting MFA sites..

And that’s all this is. Plenty of people see nothing immoral in MFA. I do. I think you do too and I bet if I put Naomi in a corner she’d say the same thing. She just didn’t say it in her audio presentation.

Maybe she says it later in the course – you must have read it, you tell me.

I like Naomi. I think she’s great. The course is undoubtedly worth far more than she’s charging. I just don’t like MFA sites.

  7. @ Anthony – Hm. To be completely and very honest, I never heard the message that she promoted slapping up sites without scruples just to turn a buck. That’s not the Naomi I know, nor is that the information I’ve received from her on any of her products.

I know that Naomi spends as much time researching on the internet as I do. I am absolutely positive that she doesn’t want to encourage people to slap up crap because that would mean she herself would have to wade through more crap every single day.

  8. @ Anthony – Okay, dude. I like you lots. You know that. But I won’t tolerate anyone at all making assumptions about what other people think.

Michael may have removed your comment on his blog for a variety of reasons. Tone of voice, the message you left, inappropriateness…

Likewise, you cannot begin to assume what Naomi is thinking or promoting or saying unless you absolutely know yourself. Not based on your assumptions, but based on fact.

You cannot begin to assume people’s thoughts or reasons for action, nor will I allow you to use our blog as a sounding board for those assumptions.

I get that you don’t like Adsense sites. That’s cool. Scream that out if you want. Voice your thoughts – but not your assumptions. K?

  9. My assumptions?

My ASSUMPTION is that Naomi herself would promote quality.

I don’t know why Michael removed that comment – we needn’t get into that – sorry I mentioned it. I don’t think it’s cool to remove comments that aren’t nasty or profane, but that’s my opinion, not a rule.

You’ll find Naomi’s audio at http://ittybiz.com/online-business-school/ under the paragraph that says “But because I have a horrible guilt complex, I have to give you SOMETHING today”.

Listen to it. It’s only a few seconds in. She’s telling people to do MFA sites.

Honestly, that surprised me. I’m pretty sure I have heard Naomi promote quality in the past. Again – it in no way destroys the value of the course!

  10. @ Anthony – Okay. I see what you’re saying.

She’s promoting a way to make money online; you’re disagreeing with the method. That’s cool.

She uses Adsense as an example, and you take offense to that. That’s cool.

She also says that her method could be for an info-product, physical products, whatever. That’s cool too – and I think that’s important to people who do have ebooks and products to sell.

  11. No, I am NOT objecting to Adsense. I’ve made a big pile of money with Adsense, why would I object to it? I have e-books to sell too, so I certainly don’t have a problem with that either.

    Here’s what she said, verbatim:

“They [niche sites] target search traffic – not regular readers, not fans, not subscribers”.

That’s MFA. Junk that has no purpose other than hoping that somebody clicks on the ads. THAT I object to. Don’t you?

Now, later on she does give examples of sites that wouldn’t be junk. That’s good (and it’s part of why I believe that she does not intend to promote junk) but IMHO I don’t think she’s stressed the quality aspect enough.

Maybe most folks who read/listen will concentrate on the latter rather than the former. I hope so.

I know you and I are on the same page, James. I think Naomi is too. I just think she screwed up a teensy bit here.

No big deal, readers: James and I are arguing about minor stuff. Buy the course. I’m positive it’s worth the cost.

  12. @ Anthony – Ah, no, here’s where we differ in opinion:

“They [niche sites] target search traffic – not regular readers, not fans, not subscribers”.

What that means is that the sites do not rely on regular, repeated fans that support a site’s popularity through numbers.

For example, we rely on our readers, fans and subscribers to help maintain our business. We are *not* a niche site. We are a business blog.

Say I set up a site that revolves solely around our ebook, How to Create Believable Characters. This site would not have fresh content via a blog. It would have information on the product and a way to sell. It would be SEO optimized to capture people searching for ways to create believable characters.

They would not become fans or subscribers. They would find the solution to their search, be thrilled, buy the product and go on to write characters that come alive.

That is *not* an MFA site by any means. That is a site built to sell a product without requiring the support of mass numbers of readers to sustain its existence.

    And THAT is SMART.

  13. I absolutely agree with you on that James. And I’m sure that’s what Naomi had in mind. Disregard my previous comments. It’s just a matter of interpretation and I hope all readers will interpret it as you have.

  14. I got mine and can’t wait to dig into it. There are some really exciting things happening in the blogging circle right now. With your awesome contest and OBS, people can crawl out from under this financial slump and make their dreams come true. That’s just awesome!

PS. I got Naomi and Dave’s eBook, too. You get it half price if you pre-order now.

  15. We *highly* recommend Dave Navarro’s courses. We’ve seen each one and they’re seriously kick ass with high value!

  16. Sounds like an amazing deal! I think it’s a hard choice to make when you can’t figure out how to scrape up $200 but I know it would be worth it if we did! I agree that to “make a dollar you have to spend a dollar” though. It’s just the way it is, I suppose.

  18. I got it, and Dave’s ebook too. I’m glad the offers didn’t keep coming, because it all looked so good and I wasn’t in the mood to say no to anything!

Hmmm…how does your comment counter decide what a “brilliant response” is? Now that I’m leaving this comment, I wonder if it will say:

  19. You guys are always fighting round here – lol

I hate MFA sites and I hate long letter pages and squeeze pages too. I bail out of both in a nano-second, but many don’t and that’s why they work.

Clay Collins who Naomi interviews is a wickedly gifted guy that does stuff that I don’t like, but I still like him, he’s a nice dude.

Similarly Naomi is a nice dudette that occasionally does stuff that I wouldn’t do like putting kittens in bags and throwing them into rivers, but I still love her.

So in conclusion, let’s just all have a group hug and agree we’re different and can still get along. Cuz we are and one mans meat is another mans animal murdering scum dog, or something like that.

  20. tulasi-priya says:

Hi, just wanted to weigh in here. I’m very new to making money online. I don’t even have a website yet! I purchased Naomi’s course, and listened to her audio module on Niche Websites.

It NEVER occurred to me, from hearing her presentation, that I would have a niche site that would just be about AdSense (though that would certainly be part of the revenue stream). I thought that a niche site, as she explains it, may include a combination of some or all of the following elements:
    1) you write some sales or informational copy
    2) You promote a product (affiliate marketing)
    3) you create your own product, either physical or informational
    and FINALLY…
    4) you accept ads

Maybe I’m just naive (or inexperienced), but I have a finely-tuned BS/scam/sleaze meter, but I never caught a whiff of any of that in her course.

For the record, Naomi’s is the first product of this sort, and at that price point, that I’ve ever shelled out for, with no reservations whatsoever. That’s the kind of trust she inspired in me. If she’s the least little bit of a sleaze, she gives a damned good impression otherwise.

  21. Sounds great. I’d love to participate but I’m in graduate school and just have to much on my plate. thanks for sharing. :)
