It’s the End of an Era at Men with Pens

It's the End of an Era at Men with Pens

I have an important announcement to make: This website is coming down for good.

That’s not to say it’s the end of Men with Pens. Hell no – I didn’t come this far to give it all up now! It’s just time to take the business to the next level of success with a new website design, one that we feel is a much better fit for our personality, our services and our business philosophy.

It’s fun. It’s fresh. It’s not even black! (Yes, I know – finally, right?) And it’s much better geared towards the knockout business website design and copywriting services we offer all our clients.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be working hard on polishing the final touches, getting everything prepared and sweeping up the shavings on the shop floor. During that time, we need to push pause here on the blog.

You’re always welcome to read through our archive of blog posts and benefit from the great advice we’ve shared in the past. We’d also love to hear your comments – we read each one because we care about your feedback and appreciate your thoughts.

You can also visit our sister site at Damn Fine Words and sign up for the newsletter, where you’ll get 30 weeks of writing tips designed to help you improve your skills – and get much better business results. (What more could you ask for?)

By the way, while you’re there, check out our new spinoff ebook-writing course, Damn Fine Ebooks. It’s opening doors to new students this coming Monday, and you’ll be able to register for the course starting April 8. You won’t want to miss this course – it’s going to be fantastic.

Oh by the way, don’t worry: When we launch the new Men with Pens website design, you’ll receive an invitation to come check out the new look, tell us what you think and help celebrate the day. See you then!

  1. My heart skipped a beat there, James. I know MwP is going to rock an awesome design when you return. Get to the lab, and make us proud! 😛

  2. I was wondering when this was going to happen. It seemed inevitable after you uh… came out. Looking forward to the new one and best of luck (and skill) to you in bringing it to life.

    • For a while, I was wondering when this was going to happen too – the shoemaker’s son goes barefoot and all that!

And there are no closets involved in the new design. Sorta. Kinda. You’ll see. 😛

  3. Woohoo! I’ve been waiting for this ever since you let drop a little before New Year’s (I think) that you were going to change things around here.

Super excited about the new MwPs look and direction. I’m barely restraining myself from asking for a sneak peak 😛

    • The only sneak peek you get is that little pencil guy in this post. 😛 (But what’s funny is that I thought of you when I decided to add him in!)

And yeah… change. It’s way overdue, on many levels. S’gonna be good!

  4. I’m with Samar, my heart skipped a beat when I started reading. I remember when you changed to this design. 🙂 The site and yourself have come a long way in the last few years.

Can’t wait to see what you guys come up with next!

    • I still have a copy of the original original original website design… and the one after that, and the one after that, and after that… so yeah, with that many preceding changes, this one has been a long time coming!

  5. Must be something in the air! I’m in the middle of re-vamping my website, too! Maybe it’s creative kismet?

  6. Wow, ok well thanks for the heads up looking forward to the relaunch.

  7. The next level sounds good, James. More of you is a good thing.

    • I’m sure my kids would disagree, David, but I have to say it’s always nice for me to hear that from readers. So thank you, and you bet!

  8. Congrats James! Looking forward to the new design.

  9. Congrats! Can’t wait to see what the new site looks like.

  10. I just want to say I appreciate you, James. And I’m glad you’re hanging around.

  11. I have always been willing to read whatever came by , because I knew anything that come by is full of inspirations. I congratulate you of having that idea of polishing your desks and put new pens that are inspiring. There has not been any need of swimming simply because your ideas had a channel just like the river with bridge through we can cross without any questions behind the risks,

Thanks so much . I am looking forward to read more from all of us.

  12. I look forward to seeing what is new with you and Men with Pens. I know I won’t be disappointed.

  13. James, I’m really looking forward to seeing where you’ll take the site. Given that you guys also do web design have you ever thought about changing your name?

  14. Little pencil guy!

Congrats James. Must be kinda scary to announce the end of the blog and the start of something new, but you must be so excited and I’ll bet it feels like a load off your shoulders.

I’ll be back to check out Little Pencil Guy 🙂

  15. Wow! I’m a little surprised, but I’m sure you have something wonderful in the works. I can’t wait to see what it is. 🙂 Best wishes…
